Quick Group

Available with "Find And Report".

Select one or two elements from your model and collect all connected edges and faces in one group with a single click.

If you have also selected other groups, component instances or dimensions, they will not be added to the new group.

This is the quickest way to create a volume and properly organize your model.

Access it via the context menu or a button.

For the record...

Quick Group is one of the first tools the author of this site developed for his work on SketchUp. He hadn't planned to release it until someone perceptive discovered it among the non-activated tools and found it very useful (see the post on the SkechUp Community). That's why it's now part of the "Find And Report" suite of tools.
